Kou Shibasaki's 5th single - Katachi Aru Mono (God I want this poster)
"Music Station has chosen 100 Japanese love songs from the past. Although most of these songs have been around for quite a while, however they were once the best hits. Very nice tracks they are and good to have them in your collection.
First place is 'I love you' by Ozaki Yukata, the father of J-rock. As one of the most respected artists, he composes mostly all the tracks in his albums. Each one of his work usually sells over to a million. This 'I love you' was recorded in his first studio album. Though passed away at a young age of 26, the works Ozaki had left continues to echo. Even Utada Hikaru sang her own version of 'I Love You'
“First Love” was the theme song of “Majo no Joken”. The sales reached up to 7 million in Japan and 9 million around the world. No one in Japan has broken this record since then. The song is also one of the best hits of Utada.
'Hitomi wo tojite' by Hirai Ken is the theme song of the movie, 'Crying out love in the centre of the world'. This single sold over to about one million.
As well, the theme song of the drama version of 'Crying out love in the centre of the world' was sang by Kou Shibasaki – 'Katachi Aru mono' is ranked at 68.
Dreams Come True’s 'Love Love Love' is the theme song for the hit drama 'Aishiteiru to Ittekure' which topped the Oricon Chart when it was first released in 1995.
Otsuka Ai, the younger artist of the rest, is also in top 100. 'Sakuranbo', sold over 500, 000, ranks at 59. "
