I´ve arrived in Taiwan just tonight, probably because I slept all the way on the plane, I cannot fall asleep now...So I guess I can start typing my blog about my trip in London!During my trip I took things very slowly while I was travelling, I just wanted to have enough time to take a good look at every aspect of this mysterious city. Day one didnt go so well unfortunately. I was very thristy after getting off of the plane, I had to wait for quite a while at the luggage area (I wonder what took them so long to unload the luggages). Meanwhile, I realized that the trolly carts costs money. I only had 20 pound bills with me and no coins at all, so I had to pull two luggages and carry my own huge bag; it was hard work. I then waited for my sister for 45 minutes at the airport lobby, I was still thristy, but I couldnt just leave my luggages there to get water. After my sister came, we had to rush onto the train before it leaves, therefore once again, I missed my chance to get water. I was definately dehydrating. After an hour we got to Kings Cross and changed to the London Underground tubes. At first I was very surprised how old and worn out these subway stations are, I couldn´t get used to it right away, it just seemed kind of creepy to me. After some time in the subways I finally got my chance to deal with my thirst. While my sister went interviewing for her job, I stayed in a McDonaldś restaurant. I bought a meal and water. I unscrewed the cap and took a huge sip. I gagged and almost spat it out. The mineral water tasted bitter and sour compared to the tap water I drink in Canada. I wanted to cry lol, I was so thristy!! So I gave up and bought an orange juice. BUT this orange juice I bought had a cap that was so hard to tear open, my palm skin was so red after I got it open. Then we went around Temple Church, St. Paulś, Tate Morden. Because I was very exhausted, the tour was brief. We had to pull two luggages up on the bus down into the tube and finally we got home in the evening, I was freaking tired.....If they say first impression comes from the very first day arriving in a country, then I must say London did not give me a very good impression due to personal conditions and my lack of adaptability. As well, I felt lonely (my sister and I rarely talk) and depressed. But I had a feeling there was something special about this city hidden behind all these, I knew I simply need to do more exploration :PI won´t type an entry for each day of course, but as they say, first day is always memorable.
