I've always wanted to give Mr. Horn a gift before I graduate from Fraser Heights; to thank him for giving me 100% and A's, even though I've skipped so many classes .
So today before I went home, I stopped by Tom Lee's to take a look at their batons. There were about a dozen of them behind the glass. When I told the clerk that I'd like to buy it as a gift for my conductor, she recommended the best ones, whose prices varied from $70~$99. Of course I cannot afford that! She let me played around with all the different batons. You can tell easily which ones are the better and expensive ones. I have to admit, gripping each of them makes me feel so powerful! So I picked one with a medium price range (I'm still a student!). But it ain't bad though - better than the ones Mr. Horn owns. I think I'll get myself another one some time too, hehe.
I chatted with the clerk about these batons. She told me batons aren't just usual sticks that conductors swishs around to make them look nice, batons are the "instruments" for conductors. They're made according to specific weights and shapes to provide the best conditions.
Wow, I never knew about such significant roles behind these batons , now I know, haha.
